  • November 28 - Clarence Fountain - one of the founding members of the Original Five Blind Boys of Alabama, a gospel music group that was formed when he was a 12-year-old student at the Talladega Institute for the Deaf and Blind in Alabama.


Deaths

  • December - Lemon Jefferson - Blues singer and guitarist. Known as "Blind" Lemon Jefferson, he was one of the most popular blues singers of the 1920s. Jefferson wrote the song "Black Snake Moan" which was the title track of the 2006 movie by the same name.[1]
