Technology

  • 2007 - The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory announces the completion of the first DARPA Limb Prototype. The Proto1 can be controlled naturally, provide sensory feedback and allows for eight degrees of freedom.[1]


Births

  • 1849 - Robert P. McGregor - Deaf teacher and leader. First president of the National Association of the Deaf. Founder of the Ohio Home for the Aged and Infirm Deaf in 1896, now known as Columbus Colony.[2]
