Mission
"The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases."[2]
History
The AF was originally founded as the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation by a group of scientists and physicians in 1948.[2] The name was changed to the Arthritis Foundation in 1964.[2]
