Births
- 1965 - Marlee Matlin - Marless Matlin is a television and film actress best known for her role in the 1986 film, Children of a Lesser God, for which she became the youngest person (age 21) to win an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Matlin became almost completely deaf at the age of 18 months from Roseola infantum.
- 1810 - Edmund Booth - Deaf author, teacher, and advocate. One of the three co-founders of the National Association of the Deaf.[1]
- 1934 - Kenny Baker - British Actor. Baker is best known as the man inside R2-D2 in the popular Star Wars film series.[2]
