Sign language is a method by which people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing communicate using symbols created with the hands.

There are different forms of sign language in the United States (American Sign Language (ASL)), Australia (Auslan), Britain (BSL), New Zealand (NZSL), and Japan (JSL).
