Births
- 1938 - Lucien Bouchard - Canadian politician. Bouchard was the Premier of Quebec from January 29, 1996 to March 8, 2001. He lost his leg to necrotizing fasciitis ("flesh-eating disease") in December 1994.
Deaths
- 1935 - Thomas D. Schall - American Congressman. Schall was legally blind and was given a page by the members of the House to aid him at all times.[1]
