  • 2001 - The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission becomes a model for employee accommodations policy after setting rules for their own managers. To speed up the process for employees for disabilities, managers were now given only 15 days to process simple accommodation requests. The disability program manager was given 20 days to process more complicated accommodations such as adaptive telecommunications devices or the removal of an architectural barrier.[1]

Deaths

  • 1941 - Fulton Allen - American blues guitarist and vocalist. Also known as "Blind Boy Fuller", Allen was one of the most popular of the Piedmont blues artists.[1]
