Births
- 1839 - Laura Redden Searing - American Deaf poet and journalist. Searing wrote poetry under the pen-name, "Howard Glyndon" and worked for the St. Louis Republican, reporting from Washington D.C. during the Civil War.
- 1954 - Kevin Warwick - British scientist and professor of cybernetics. A scientist who is best known for implanting an electrode array in the nerve fibers of his arm that allowed him to directly interface with computers in a power wheelchair and artificial arm.[1]
