Births

  • 1843 - Roswell Peter Bishop - American politician. Bishop was a member of the House of Representatives (Michigan) and a private in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He was discharged in 1862 after a wound forced the amputation of his right arm.[1]


Deaths

  • 1890 - Henry Syle - American priest. Syle was the first ordained deaf priest in the Episcopal Church in the United States.[2]
