Science

  • 2008 - Researchers including Clemens Scherzer, MD, a neurologist and researcher at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), aannounce that they have found that the build up of a certain protein is responsible for controlling the production of the gene, alpha-synuclein, which is a cause of Parkinson's disease.[1]


Technology

  • 2005 - The Interagency Coordinating Council on Emergency Preparedness and Individuals with Disabilities started the Disability Resource Center website, which hosts emergency preparedness information targeting people with disabilities, first responders and emergency planners.[2]
