Births
- 1884 - Paul B. Magnuson - American orthopedic surgeon. Magnuson was the founder of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC).[1]
- 1920 - Charles Dotter - American surgeon. Dotter was the first surgeon to perform a percutaneous transluminal angioplasty or mechanical widening in opening blood vessels other than the coronary arteries. He also invented the percutaneous arterial stenting.[2]
