Births
- 1880 - Helen Adams Keller - Deaf author and advocate. The first deaf-blind person to graduate from college. She went on to be an accomplished author, activist and lecturer.[1]
- 1925 - Dr. Andrew Jackson Foster - American deaf teacher. Founded thirty-one schools and many other programs for deaf people in thirteen African countries. First African American to graduate from Gallaudet College. [2]
