- 2002 - Kevin Warwick, a British scientist and professor of cybernetics, implants a 100-electrode array in the median nerve fibers of his left arm, a device that was later used to control an electric wheelchair and an intelligent artificial hand.[1]
Deaths
- 1932 - George Eastman - American Inventor. Eastman invented the dry photographic plate and roll film which made taking photographs much more efficient. He later founded the Eastman Kodak Company. Today, Kodak is a leader in imaging technology for the medical field.[2]
