Deaths

  • 1935 - John James Richard Macleod - Scottish medical scientist, won a Noble Prize in Medicine for the co-discovery of insulin.
  • 1949 - Thomas P. Gore - American politician. Gore was a United States Senator (Oklahoma) and a member of the People's (or Populist) Party. Two childhood accidents left Gore blind at a very young age.[2]
