  • 1970 - Spencer Ferguson Silver from 3M Comp. files a patent for the adhesive used on that popular and convenient cognitive aid -- Post-It Notes. [1]


Births

  • 1871 - Granville Redmond - Deaf Painter and Artist. One of California's leading landscape painters and a close friend of Charlie Chaplin, who he taught sign language to. Redmond had a few small roles in Chaplin's movies which worked at the time because films were silent.[2]
  • 1921 - Jane W. Kessler - American psychologist, developed an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to the treatment of children with mental retardation and emotional disorders. [3]
