  • 1948 - Andrew Moyer is given a U.S. Patent for a method of mass production of penicillin.[1]


Births

  • 1895 - Dorothea Lange - American documentary photographer and photojournalist. Lange was best known for her Depression-era work for the Farm Security Administration (FSA). Lange walked with a limp due to a bout with polio.[2]
