Jump to: navigation, search

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a nervous system disease that damages the myelin sheath, the material that surrounds and protects the nerve cells. This damage slows down or blocks messages between the brain and the body, leading to muscle weakness, trouble with coordination and balance, visual disturbances, and thinking and memory problems.
