The National Parkinson Foundation is an organization that supports Parkinson's disease-related research, patient care, education, training, and outreach.[1]

The National Parkinson Foundation was founded sometime prior to 1957 by Mrs. Jeanne C. Levey whose husband had Parkinson's disease.[1] Originally, not much was known about the disease, so the foundation's main focus was on physical therapy and loving care.[1]
