  • 1975 - The U.S. Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law (PL) 94-142) was passed by Congress to provide financial aid to states for improved educational systems for children with disabilities. The act was sponsored by Senator Harrison A. Williams, Jr. of New Jersey and signed into law by President Gerald R. Ford.[1]

  • 1825 - Jean-Martin Charcot - French neurologist, known as the "the Napoleon of the neuroses." He was the first to describe multiple sclerosis.
