Government & Advocacy
- 1984 - The Carl D. Perkins Vocational Education Act of 1984 (PL 98-524) amended the Vocational Education Act of 1963 to ensure equal access to vocational education for students with disabilities.[1]
Sports
- 1990 - The National Wheelchair Basketball Hall of Fame display is dedicated at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA.[2]
Deaths
- 1926 - Victor Babeş - Romanian bacteriologist. Babeş made early contributions to the study of rabies, leprosy, diphtheria, tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases. Considered the founder of modern medicine in Romania.[3]
