Paul B. Magnuson

Dr. Paul Budd Magnuson (June 14, 1884November 5, 1968) was an orthopedic surgeon and the founder of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC).


Magnuson entered the University of Minnesota for two years before being accepted to the University of Pennsylvania's medical school. While in medical school, he devised a method of bone lengthening. After graduation in 1909, Magnuson went to work under Dr. John B. Murphy.[1]
