World Wide Web Consortium
From ATWiki
The World Wide Web Consortium, also known as the W3C, is an organization dedicated to developing "interoperable" technologies to "lead the web to its full potential." These technologies including specifications, guidelines, software, and tools, are created with the idea of making the world wide web more universal in nature. Some of these technologies are the HTML and XHTML Specifications and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
